From Inside Politics

There will be a town hall-style meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at Douglas Byrd High School on the topic of public education.

The meeting is sponsored by the Cumberland County Young Democrats and the Douglas Byrd Teen Democrats as part of a Saving Our Schools education initiative.

The panel is scheduled to include state Rep. Rick Glazier, a Democrat from Fayetteville, state Superintendent June Atkinson, Larry Kissell, who is running for the 8th Congressional District, and the North Carolina Association of Educators President Eddie Davis of Durham.
